Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TaleNights (ABN 84 298 779 637, "we", "us", "our"). By subscribing, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

TaleNights sends personalised, AI-generated bedtime stories to your email inbox three times a week (Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday), based on the child's name, age and interests you provide. Stories are generated automatically and are not reviewed by a human before sending.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian of the child you're signing up for. TaleNights is intended for use by adults on behalf of children in their care.

3. Subscriptions, trials and billing

New subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid plan and billing begins.
Founding member pricing ($7/month) is limited to the first 20 subscribers and, once secured, is retained for as long as your subscription remains active without a gap. All other subscribers are billed at the standard rate ($9/month).
An optional sibling add-on is available for $3/month per additional child.
Subscriptions renew automatically and are billed in advance via Stripe. Prices are in AUD.
You can cancel at any time — see Section 4. Cancelling stops future billing; we do not provide refunds for the current billing period already paid, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time using the link included in your account email, or by emailing hello@talenights.com. There is no lock-in contract or cancellation fee. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period.

5. Content and acceptable use

Stories are generated by an AI system and are intended for entertainment purposes for young children. While we design prompts to keep content warm, age-appropriate and free of scary or distressing themes, we can't guarantee every generated story will be perfect for every child — please reply to any story email if something doesn't feel right, so we can adjust future stories.

You agree to provide accurate information about your child (name, age, interests) and not to use the service for any unlawful purpose or to submit inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content via the onboarding form or interest updates.

6. Intellectual property

Stories generated for your subscription are yours to read, save, print, and share personally with your family. TaleNights retains ownership of the underlying service, branding, and story-generation system.

7. Service availability

We aim to deliver stories reliably on schedule, but the service depends on third-party providers (including our AI provider and email delivery partner) and occasional delays or missed deliveries may occur. We'll do our best to make things right if that happens.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaleNights is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes any guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
